  • Completed secondary education. Formal secretarial/clerical training or equivalent desirable. Credit towards total working experience may be considered on a year by-year- basis, up to maximum of four years, for a first university degree or equivalent diploma, in a field relevant to the post.                           

Experience:

  • Minimum of six (6) years of working experience in the related fields of the post, thorough understanding of office procedures and practices, preferably within the UN system or in a multicultural environment, including experience in project administration, accounting and finance, providing support to managerial / professional staff and using secretarial/administrative skills to assist in the execution of project development and implementation of work.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), internet. Experience with SAP or similar ERP software an asset                                  Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency in Uzbek and/or Russian is required

Jobs Responsibilities:

  • Provide the following assistance under administrative functions:  Arrange logistical and administrative formalities for project missions and project events, including road map validation event, workshops and trainings.  Accomplish financial administrative duties associated with procurement of services, and project payments in accordance to established regulations and procedures, as required.  Route/co-ordinate/store incoming and outgoing correspondence and record project documentation. Maintain files and databases related to work.                                                                               
  • Provide the following assistance under communication functions:  Assist in developing project related press releases, social media posts booklets, catalogs and video materials.  Assist with planning, development and implementation of PR strategies, including but not limited to: managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites; devising and coordinating photo opportunities; dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations; assist with analyses of media coverage; assist with commissioning and undertaking relevant market research. Provide assistance in translation of project-related documents: reports, press releases, promotional materials, presentations, etc.  Prepare a final report according to the UNIDO Format on both functions.
