- Bachelor of Engineering in Mining/ Metallurgical/ Chemical Engineering from any HEC recognized Institution/ University.
- Valid membership of Pakistan Engineering Council.
Experience:
- Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience primarily in mineral processing, industrial utilization, coal gasification, mineral economics and mineral sector related frameworks (laws/ Acts, policy, regulatory and fiscal).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and propose/ recommend potential of mineral processing and value addition.
- Evaluate technical & financial proposals of mineral processing projects.
- Identify and propose potential for mineral processing & value-addition to substitute mineral based import of goods.
- Analyze and suggest various coal gasification techniques for production of liquid/ gaseous fuels and other usages.
- Analyze and suggest alternate and enhanced use of coal in various forms (e.g. Briquettes, industry etc.).
- Devise a plan for optimal and industrial utilization of minerals produced in the country.
- Develop regulatory framework for minerals and metals processing as per best global industry practices.
- Devise basic structure of fiscal incentives for mineral processing units.
